Wow! Can you believe it’s June? This year is seriously flying by so quickly. Here in L.A., we’ve been experiencing “May Gray” with very cloudy skies. I haven’t gotten to wear many of my spring/summer outfits yet, but I’m so excited to try new trends when the weather clears up.
One trend I am majorly excited to wear is the polka dot trend! This trend has been popular since last year and it’s definitely here to stay for a few more seasons.

Some people consider polka dots a classic print that can be worn anytime. You can typically find polka dots at any time of year in vintage or classic cuts of clothing. I like my classic pieces in solid colors, but I am enjoying the fact that polka dots are available in more trendy styles right now. Below I am sharing 3 ways I am incorporating this popular print into my wardrobe.
My Favorite Ways to Wear the Polka Dot Trend
1.As a Statement Piece
Big bold polka dots definitely make a statement. If you want to style polka dots as the main focus of your look, try a bigger print. There are so many dresses, jumpsuits, and tops in this chic print!
2.As an Accent
Not ready to style bold polka dots? Try them as an accent! Chic accessories like scarves, bags, and shoes, allow you to try the trend in a more subtle way. This also ties in perfectly with the pearl trend because pearls can look like polka dots too.
3.As a Neutral
If you’re into pattern mixing, you can wear a mini polka dot print and mix it with other bold prints. The polka dot piece would act as you neutral or solid piece that lets the bolder print stand out.
