It’s Official! Red is the IN color for fall 2017. Over the last few years we’ve seen burgundy as the it fashion shade for fall. This year bold power red is taking centerstage.
Red has always been a classic shade that every fashionista should have in her wardrobe. This season red from head to toe is in! If you’re more of a neutral wardrobe kinda gal like me, you can still sport the color of the season without it being overwhelming. Below are my 3 tips for styling power red for fall.
1.Wear a Statement Piece
Red is a statement color and great for a statement piece. A bold power red blazer is a must have for fall! A good blazer is a wardrobe staple that can take you from work to weekend. The Little Red Jacket from cabi is the perfect power red statement piece! It’s made from a Ponte twill double knit that is both chic and comfortable. Throw the LRJ on over the Tuxedo Blouse and Kingston Trouser from cabi for a classic yet on trend look.
2. Add Accessories
I always say accessories are the easiest way to update your wardrobe. If you have a closet full of great quality clothing that will last for years, you can add a few trendy accessories and you’ll be in fashion every season. A power red scarf or jewelry can be quickly added to any look. Chic red sunglasses or a little red bag are great statement makers too. The power red sole on the bottom of a pair of Christian Louboutin heels is a subtle yet sexy way to wear the color.
3.Switch up your Makeup
Beauty is another quick and affordable way to be on trend. A bold red power red lip or manicure is classic and makes a statement. I’ve noticed a lot of red toned eyeshadow palettes lately and that is a great way to try the trend. Read about my top 5 favorite red lipsticks HERE.

Very nice outfit, Jo! I love the blazer, that shade of red is doing great things for you. I also agree with you should go for staples that will last you for years, this especially important if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on new clothes every season. I don’t buy a lot of clothes (I’m buying a lot shoes though) and that’s because things that will last me years. Although, I’m super tempted to buy some new dusters and jackets.
