Happy International Women’s Day! Thank you to all the women past and present that have fought to allow me to be able to do the things I can today. Since we are celebrating women today, I wanted to dress like one of my style icons, Audrey Hepburn. I love her classic style. When I think of Audrey and her iconic character Holly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the first thing that comes to mind is a little black dress. In my previous post for the Little Black Dress series, I showed you how to style a LBD for casual occasions (read it HERE). Today I am showing you how to style a LBD for dressy occasions.
I found this classic, elegant little black dress for only $22! The bow and the bell sleeved add a special detail to the dress. You can buy the dress by clicking HERE (also get free shipping too)! I styled it with simple stud earrings to keep my accessories understated and let the dress stand out. The look wouldn’t be complete without a pair of classic black pumps! I wore my 120mm pigalle by Christian Louboutin. I’m all about mixing high/low fashion. A great pair of classic black pumps is something you should invest in because they’ll never go out of style!
For beauty details, I wanted to wear my hair back to add to the overall elegance of the look. I styled it as a side parted low ponytail and added my Irresistible Me hair extensions for length (read about them HERE). If you get great quality extensions like the ones from Irresistible Me, You can curl them and style them for so many occasions. I kept the makeup simple and classic with a winged liner and a red lip for a pop of color.
