Velvet is THE fashionable material for fall/winter 2017. From clothing to accessories, you can find this luxuriously textured fabric on anything. Velvet is not just for lounge clothing anymore!
I’ve been so excited to wear velvet joggers. I wanted to wear them for a more dressy occasion instead of in a typical casual outfit. First it’s important to find the right velvet jogger pants.
Since velvet is very trendy right now, I wanted to save money on a great pair (you know my motto; save on the trends, spend on the classics). I also wanted to find a fun color to wear. I ordered two pair from two different websites and ended up loving THESE from 599fashion.com. They were only $10 but the quality is way better than the $40 pair I ordered from a different website.
Here are a few tips to help you dress up velvet jogger pants
1.Choose a chic color
I chose this blush pink because I felt it would look more dressy than a plain black pair. 599Fashion has a variety of colors to choose from. I also really like that these have a metallic sheen to them. You can find them HERE for $10.
2.Add a dressy top
Since I wanted to wear this outfit for a dressier occasion I styled it with a beautifully detailed blouse. The metallic polka dots and sheer ruffles really elevate this outfit.
3.Upgrade the accessories
Accessories can change the whole vibe of an outfit. Blush pink heels instead of sneakers make the overall outfit more dressy. I also added gold dangly earring and my favorite ring bag (read the Chloe Nile Bag Dupe post HERE).
