What to wear for a dressy casual spring event

Spring is in the air and so many bright colors are in fashion. Now is the perfect time to style your favorite pieces in a bright colorful way. From Easter picnics to bridal showers, there are so many fun events to attend in spring.

It can be hard to decide what to wear for so many different events! I have a simple formula I use when getting dressed for all of my favorite spring occasions. Below is my go to outfit formula for dressy casual spring events.

What to Wear for a Dressy Casual Spring Event

1. A Printed Dress

Prints are so popular for spring. If you’re not into floral prints, a leaf print is a great alternative.  I fell in love with this dress after seeing it on the cabi spring 2017 runway (read about the show HERE). The designers at cabi put a lot of attention into the detail of this dress. It is lined with a complimentary printed fabric instead of a solid. 2. Bright Colorful Heels

Typically I wear neutral colored shoes but I love wearing brighter hues for spring. To add a pop of  color to my printed dress, I styled it with fuchsia block heels. When choosing colored shoes to wear with printed dresses, either choose a complimentary color or a color tone that is in the pattern. 3. Fun Accessories

Jewelry really pulls the look together and makes it a bit more dressy. The lock & Key bracelet and necklace from cabi pair perfectly with this dress. They are bold enough to make a statement but simple enough to not over power it. If your event is outside, you’ll also want to wear a pair of sunglasses that goes with the outfit.
