How to Transition your Wardrobe from Summer to Fall (with Sammydress)

Summer is my favorite season and I’ve been truly enjoying it. This week school started. Bath & Body Works put their fall candles on the shelf. I saw the first sign of pumpkin spice at the grocery store. That means fall is just around the corner! No need to fret though. You can still wear your favorite summer fashions well into fall. I’m sure you’re wondering how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. It’s actually very easy! Just follow my 5 tried and tested tips below.

How to Transition your Wardrobe from Summer to Fall 

1. Wear Neutral or Warmer Colors

During fall the trees change color and so should your wardrobe. If you want to make your summer pieces look fall fabulous, it’s great to start with neutral colors. You can also wear fall’s hottest colors like a deep Burgundy or other rich colors.  This dress I’m wearing from Sammydress is the perfect example. Adding on trend accessories can take your wardrobe staples from season to season while still looking current. Hats are also great to add for the cooler weather. I love the velvet and suede textured accessories that are starting to hit the stores, They’re so perfect for fall.

4. Layer Up

Since the weather is cooling down you’ll want to bundle up a bit. Add layers so you can stay warm outside but take them off to stay cool inside. A cardigan is great to cover up sleeveless styles. Add stockings or leggings under a romper or dress to give your legs more warmth. My favorite item to layer up with is a leather jacket. They give that street chic fashion edge to any outfit!

5. Change your Makeup 

Makeup trends change for fall too. To transition my looks from summer to fall, I switch my brighter colored lipsticks for deeper tones. Berry lipstick is my fall favorite! You can also add a warmer blush and rich fall colors for your eyes. I love adding copper colors to my eyes for fall.
