Holiday season is here! From finding the perfect gift to finding the perfect outfit, there’s so much to do. No matter how you celebrate this season, one thing is for sure… There will be so many events to attend. One of my favorite parts of holiday event planning is figuring out what to wear for each occasion.
My holiday attire has to meet two requirements: festive and comfortable. Most holiday events are long so comfort is really important to me. I like my holiday style to be festive but not in a Christmas sweater kind of way. My festive style means I pick pieces with fun colors or more details than I usually wear.
I’ve been obsessed with navy blue since spring. The color is so beautiful! This season velvet is the “It” fabric. So when I found a navy blue velvet coat, I knew it was perfect for a holiday outfit. The Entrance Coat by cabi is perfect for holiday looks or dressing up your everyday style. I love that it has pockets so you don’t have to carry a handbag.
Recently I’ve been really into mixing navy blue and black pieces for an outfit that has beautiful dimension. I paired my velvet coat with a midnight blue burnout velvet top, Black tassel skirt and black over-the-knee boots. The skirt and top both have unique elements to them that make them festive for a holiday look. To finish the look I paired it with a chic necklace and a few black and gold bangles.
